Dr Rick grew up on a cattle and horse farm in Southwest Missouri.  After graduating from the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 he worked with Dr Rob Foss at Equine Medical Services in Columbia, MO.  Dr Rick moved to Oklahoma in 1995 and worked at both Interstate Equine and Oklahoma Equine before opening his own practice in Pauls Valley, OK in the Spring of 1998.  He owned and operated Raintree Equine Services LLC for 19 years serving the south central Oklahoma region.

In his spare time Dr Rick is a passionate whitetail deer hunter, team roper and can be found out playing with his small herd of registered Brahman cows.  He currently lives in Springer, OK with his wife Leslie and has one son Jordan who attends Murray State College in Tishomingo on a rodeo scholarship.  Jordan hopes to one day follow in his father's footsteps!
